As you can see the site is up and running, but I haven't been able to post new data yet.

GamerProgress Update - Aug 22, 2014

I have brought GamerProgress.com back online.  There are still about 400 players whose information is not in a clean state, but the rest of the data should be fine.

Over the next week, I will attempt to clean up the last 400 players statistics as soon as I can. I will also attempt to load up the data from August 9th, 16th, and August 22nd, as soon as possible.

Update Wednesday Aug 21

Well we have a little setback.:( 

Apparently we have quite a few people who take delight in using, IMO, unsuitable characters in their names, alliances, and descriptions. :mad:

I have to sanitize the data before I make the site available again. This came to light when I attempted to upload the Aug 9 data set.

So until further notice, the site is up, but it's mostly useless because there's no data in the databases.

Sorry for the false hope, but I am working on it and trying to figure out a solution.

BTW, the new site and databases should work out just fine! No space issues and hopefully no performance issues either (once I can get clean data into the db). :D

GamerProgress.com Update

• We have transferred all the data into the new system.
• We have a new database set up.
• The new database only has the date up to Aug 2, 2014.
• But, as soon as I can, I will bulk upload the Aug 9th updates and the Aug 16th updates.

We are waiting for the DNS changes to propagate. At the moment they are still pointing at the old server and DB.
Until the DNS changes happen, there is only so much testing I can do.

I've taken over GamerProgress.com and all of the associated capabilities - including this blog!

So, just to let everyone know, I'm working hard to get gamerprogress.com back online and updated with the latest info.

Connection problems

August 9, 2014

Sorry everyone, I am having database connection problems this morning. I have this weeks data downloaded and saved in text files but I can't get it into the database. I am also not going to be home for the rest of the day. I will do my best to get this fixed but the data will not be up until tomorrow at the earliest. My apologies. (2014-08-09 7:30 am EST)

UPDATE:
I have identified the problem as a permissions problem to the database because I exceeded the allowable size (oops). I am working to resolve the problem by only keeping the last 6 months of data. I do have all the data saved in text files if I can find a future use for it. As of now, I still am not able to add records so data has not been updated. (2014-08-10 12:15 pm EST)
